Meet the Owner
Hello! My name is Ms. Blankenship, and caring for others has always been my passion. For over 15 years, I have worked in home care, providing compassionate support and assistance to individuals and families. Helping people feel safe, valued, and cared for is something I truly love and take pride in every day.
As a mother of three wonderful children, ages 15, 18, and 22, I understand firsthand the importance of finding quality childcare that is loving, dependable, and trustworthy. Born and raised in the Rockford area, I have spent my entire life serving and supporting my community.
At Meg’s Golden Touch Childcare, my mission is to provide a warm, nurturing, and educational environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. I believe every child deserves patience, kindness, encouragement, and unconditional care. My goal is to create a place where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn while giving parents peace of mind knowing their little ones are receiving exceptional care.
I treat every child who enters my program as if they were part of my own family. Through engaging activities, educational experiences, and plenty of love and support, I am committed to helping children build a strong foundation for their future. I'm currently in the process of being licensed. Hopefully by the end of August, September.

In Loving Memory of Tamika “Meg”
Meg’s Golden Touch Childcare was created in loving memory of my dear friend, Tamika, affectionately known as “Meg.”
Tamika was taken from us far too soon in a tragic vehicle accident, leaving behind two beautiful children whom she loved more than anything in this world. Her love for children was truly unmatched. She had a special gift for making every child feel loved, valued, and important. Whether she was taking children to the park, playing games, sharing laughs, or simply spending time with them, her joy came from seeing children smile.
Meg had a heart as bold as a lion and a spirit as gentle as a feather. She brought light, love, and happiness wherever she went. Children naturally gravitated toward her, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. Her kindness, compassion, and nurturing nature left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
To honor her memory and keep her beautiful spirit alive, I chose to name my childcare service after her. Meg’s Golden Touch Childcare is more than just a business—it is a tribute to a remarkable woman whose love for children continues to inspire me every day.
Through this childcare, her legacy lives on in every child we nurture, every family we serve, and every smile we help create. Though she is no longer with us physically, her love, kindness, and golden touch will forever remain in our hearts.
